Our Mission
Health Philosophy
Our goal is to help our community live a better and happier life by being pain-free and performing at their best level, which helps not only them but everyone around them. Our services work with the innate wisdom of the body to speed up and enhance healing and performance.
Treatment Philosophy
We believe that although chiropractic care can be extremely effective, just moving bones isn’t enough in today’s world. Proper clinical diagnosis and treatment are required to help patients recover quickly and permanently from simple and complex problems. Our regular office visits find and fix problems regardless of where they are located. All cases are different, but in most situations, patients can expect complete resolution of their problem in less than 10 visits.
40 Years of Experience
Dr. Cerami started practicing in 1985 after extensive schooling and 15 years as a chiropractic patient. Since then, he has expanded his practice to include the treatment of post-surgical problems and sports injuries. Dr. Cerami is an athlete himself, a retired triathlete now pursuing motorcycling. This allows him to understand the mindset of not only athletes but athletes dealing with injuries.
Your Clinical Control
At Utah Sports and Wellness, we strive to help you take control of your own health. At the beginning of chiropractic treatment, we will present the treatment map we generally utilize and tailor it to incorporate your goals. This is usually done in conjunction with an initial examination. As chiropractic care progresses, we will touch base regularly during visits to ensure that we are providing the care you are looking for.
We know your schedule can be tight, and we are prepared to work with you to find the right time to meet. Typically, we recommend a once-a-month schedule, but the regularity of visits is ultimately up to you.
Providing Support for a Healthy Lifestyle
To choose Utah Sports and Wellness is to have a game plan for a healthy lifestyle. The initial visit is crucial to determine your goals and the current state of your health. From there, we will check the muscle support throughout your body Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT) and then look at the biomechanical aspects of your health (alignment and posture). Only then will we assess the soft tissue, which is often what causes pain and inflammation. By addressing other structural concerns first, we allow the body to return to alignment and its optimal ability to heal itself.
During and subsequent to the treatment of injuries, our chiropractors may recommend supplements to assist in your healing and overall health. Regular progress exams will ensure treatments are effective. Once progress is apparent, stabilization visits can monitor changes. Our goal is for your healing to be sustainable with fewer maintenance visits.
If you are looking for a chiropractic clinic that balances top-of-the-line research and techniques and tried-and-true experience, Utah Sports and Wellness may be right for you.
